Last December 18, 2021, the UP Pre-Medical Society partnered up with UP Pre-Medical Society Baguio to conduct its first-ever joint project in AGUA: A Medgical Christmas. This was a Christmas-themed benefit concert whose aim was to raise funds for PUMASAG-Quezon, a community of sustainable fishermen based in Calabarzon.
Led by Laralei Lapuz and Joaqs Escueta from the Diliman team and Natasha Igama and Nico Henson from the Baguio team, the event was organized and streamed through UP PMS’s Facebook page, reaching over 8000 people and garnering over 3000 reactions. Five performers graced the event including the esteemed UP Symphony Orchestra. The set opened with an electrifying performance from Anacreous and Zanela then followed by the charming Erin Galadriel and a unique set-ender by Kamara.
Hosted by Reginald Marcos and Sabrina Castillo, the raffle games in between the performances also kept the audience hooked. The event ended with a final call for donations and a heartfelt message of thanks from PUMASAG-Quezon’s representative.
